2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
3 cups marinara sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt & Pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken with half of the marinara sauce. Ensure the chicken is well coated.
In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the chicken mixture evenly. Top it with the remaining marinara sauce, spreading it out to cover the chicken.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the top of the marinara sauce, ensuring coverage.
In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this mixture over the cheese layer.
Cover the dish with foil (shiny side down) and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
Once baked, let the casserole cool for about 5-10 minutes before serving.
