2 tablespoons Butter (or olive oil for a lighter option)
1 teaspoon Garlic Salt (fresh garlic can be substituted or omitted)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it with cooking spray.
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef (or turkey) until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the cooked meat. If using a packet, follow the provided instructions. Mix in water if needed. Stir well to combine, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the seasoning is aromatic.
On a lightly floured surface, unroll the refrigerator pizza dough and stretch it to form a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
Slice the dough into strips, approximately 1 inch wide.
Take about 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture and spoon it onto each dough strip. Place a cheese stick on top of the meat.
Roll each dough strip over the meat and cheese, sealing the edges. Pinch the ends to prevent spilling. Place the filled sticks seam-side down on the baking sheet.
Melt the butter (or heat olive oil) and stir in the garlic salt. Brush this mixture over the tops of the taco sticks.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and the dough is cooked.
Let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Best served warm. Consider pairing with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, or ranch dressing for dipping.
