Boiled Scallops

Delightfully simple boiled scallops that highlight their sweet and tender meat. Perfect for any seafood lover.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb scallops (fresh or thawed)
  • 1 lemon (fresh juice)
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)
  • Water (enough to cover the scallops)

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil, adding a pinch of salt.
  2. Once boiling, carefully add the scallops and stir gently.
  3. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the scallops become opaque.
  4. Remove the scallops from the water using a slotted spoon and allow to drain.
  5. Serve with melted butter and a squeeze of lemon juice.
  6. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

Ensure to not overcook the scallops to maintain their tenderness. Experiment with different seasonings and sauces.
