Bloody Baked Brie

A delightful appetizer combining creamy brie cheese with sweet-tart cranberry sauce, wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Place the wheel of brie in the center of the puff pastry.
  4. Spread the cranberry sauce over the top of the brie.
  5. Fold the pastry over the brie, sealing it well.
  6. Brush the outside of the pastry with the beaten egg.
  7. Place the wrapped brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve with crackers or bread.
  10. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Make sure the puff pastry is cold before working with it for a flaky texture. You can also sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the cranberry sauce for extra flavor.
