Baked Pears with Berries, Honey, Walnuts & Blue Cheese

A stunning dessert featuring sweet baked pears filled with mixed berries, honey, walnuts, and blue cheese.

  • 3 ripe pears (Bosc or Bartlett), halved and cored
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup fresh mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, or cranberries)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, lightly toasted
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese or gorgonzola
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Fresh thyme leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  3. Slice the pears in half lengthwise, remove the cores, and trim the bottoms for stability.
  4. Brush each pear half with melted butter and arrange cut-side up in the prepared dish.
  5. Spoon the fresh mixed berries, toasted walnuts, and crumbled blue cheese into the hollowed center of each pear half.
  6. Drizzle honey over the pears and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes until soft and golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves if desired and spoon warm pan juices over the top before serving.

Notes

Serve warm. Perfect with ice cream or yogurt.
