Air Fryer Applesauce Fritters

Delightful and healthier fritters made with applesauce, air-fried for a crispy texture without the guilt.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups applesauce
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the applesauce, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until well mixed.
  2. In another bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  4. Preheat your air fryer according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each fritter.
  6. Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook the fritters for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with milk until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  8. Dip each fritter into the glaze while they’re still warm.
  9. Serve the fritters warm and enjoy!

Notes

These fritters can be served with a scoop of ice cream or fresh fruit for added indulgence.
